and if so, can you shoot longer videos with it?
I have a 256MB SanDisk memory card that came with the camera. It allows me to take about 100 pictures, or shoot about 2 minutes of non-stop video.
Would using this new memory card allow me to shoot for example 30 minute to 45 minute videos that I can upload onto my computer?
My main purpose for wanting this card is to use my camera like a camcorder. I shoot comedy skits, and am getting into some erotic films as well. Until I get enough money to buy a full fledged camcorder, will I be able to use this camera with the larger memory card for that purpose.
* I also have a limited amount of time in which i have access to some talented models and actors, so i cant tell them to wait another month till I can afford a real movie recorder. I have to make due with what i have!
Basically in a nutshell, can i film a 30 minute clip with this camera and large memory card?? This is very important to me!!
Thank you to all that can help.

Hi I just got a new camcorder Canon HF200 similar to the HF100 and I’m now initializing my 16gb transcend class 6 memory card. It’s been about 20 minutes and i don’t see any change in progress. It just says “mem. card initializing”

*UPDATE* I got a full refund today (9/4) and I get to keep it I bought this for $110 off of ebay. And what do I get? This FAKE piece of JUNK. It’s not even 16GB (as you can see in the video), it’s only 8GB reformatted to look like 16GB. A REAL 16GB Sony memory stick pro duo would top at 14.9GB not 15.4GB. Anyway here are some symptoms I have experienced with this card: *Inability to exceed at least 7.5 GB worth of space without problems such as corrupted data forming onto my PSP that I can not remove unless I format the entire card over and over again. *Lost of data due to fake memory source. Inability to save PSP game files to memory for it is fake. *Inability to save PSP game files to memory stick because it’s fake. I hope this video helps people out when they consider buying memory off of ebay. Here are some other facts: *Genuine SONY will display as MagicGate Supported. If you see Unknown or Unsupported then you know you have a FAKE Sony! *Most fakes have HALF or less than half of the usable capacity from the stated capacity. *FAKE Sony have easily identifiable FALSE Sony part numbers with extra letter T. For a full list and pictures, check out this url. reviews.ebay.com BE CAUTIOUS OF WHAT YOU BUY ON EBAY! PLEASE, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST! Other things I noticed: *Fakes have “bubble-ish” type lettering and shinier text *Fakes feel slightly lighter than real
